NZDM creates a path to a positive life for children, youth and young adults who are at the beginning of their independent life journey. NZDM Radost supports children and youth who experience problems at home or at school. We place great emphasis on prevention and positively influence their values and orientation in society. what's going on in the lowland?

Prevention of risky behavior:

At NZDM Radost, we place great emphasis on the prevention of risky behavior, that's why every Wednesday we organize an event called "Sváča s Říďou", in which clients get to know the standards of decent behavior in society in a playful way, we talk about their feelings, teach them to manage their emotions and tolerance . We regularly hold discussions on the topic of "Self-love", during which we discussed together what love is and how to love ourselves and the people around us.

Support for social integration:

In our low threshold, we encounter support for social integration in children every day. Every day, we organize a "debate circle", during which we conduct a dialogue with the children on various topics that they are currently solving or are interested in, we solve current topics. These activities help children socialize in the company of their peers and learn to express their opinion.

Providing a safe space:

In NZDM Radost and in any low threshold, the provision of a safe space applies. This goal is for all children and young people regardless of nationality, skin color, religious belief, sexual orientation or any physical or psychological dysfunction. Low threshold is here for everyone. In order to support these topics, we conduct discussions on the topic of "Diversity". Lectures and workshops on the diversity and diversity of people with the aim of arousing children's interest in differences and involving them in events related to these topics.

Mental Health Support:

At NZDM Radost, we support mental health in children, and therefore every Monday and Friday we have individual or group sessions called "Tea", which means that we talk in the consultation room and support their mental health, they confide in us about their problems or pains that are currently they are experiencing. And if it is something more serious, we will ask our therapist Mgr. Věra Malesáková, who provides and helps children professionally in the form of therapies.

Support for education and personal development:

In our NZDM, we also support education and personal development for children. Another principle of low-threshold facilities is also to nurture, educate and develop their abilities and skills. That's why in our NZDM Radost we organized workshops on the topic of Rescuers and first aid, Zootherapy, Connecting worlds with friends from Lorm, Canistherapy with Logi, "How to talk about your emotions", etc.

Organizing leisure activities:

In our NZDM Radost, we also emphasize leisure activities that would meaningfully support and motivate the children and youth who come to our NZDM. We teach them new skills, abilities, develop their personality, fine and gross motor skills. For example, social games, party games. and the like. We also try to show them so that they can feel or know what it's like to be blind, deaf for a day..., how to properly offer them help and, above all, empathize with that one person, which is also important.

Safe environment:

Our job is to provide children with a safe and friendly environment in which they should feel comfortable and welcome. That's why we usually play a therapeutic game called "Hot chair", which consists in asking each other questions that interest us about the other person, but if the other person doesn't want to answer the given question, he says the sentence: Hot chair. This activity is great for getting to know each other, building trust, friendship and also feeling that we are not the only ones going through a bad time right now....

Support for basic management skills:

In our NZDM, we try to convey as much information as possible, which they will use in their personal lives and become independent of social services. That's why we twice had an event called "Financial Literacy", which is supposed to teach children how to manage money, to be able to know what I have and what I don't, while we use fake money and give everyone a baguette and a list of things to buy and we play in the form of a game to "shop".

What is low threshold?

The activity of NZDM Radost can be seen as the provision of preventive social services. Our social workers actively support children and youth in overcoming the difficult life situations they face. We support a wide age range of clients and try to make the support diverse. Our main principle is that anyone can contact us with any problem.

    Can i come?
  • I'm afraid what's next...
  • They don't like me at school, am I pushed away?
  • Do I feel anxious?
  • Have I tried drugs, alcohol and feel weird?
  • Do I have worries and fears and can't deal with them?
  • I don't like school, I can't handle it, I'm not good at it?
  • I have a problem in my family, I don't get along with my parents?

  • Did you answer YES to anything? It's time to show up in the "low threshold"!

    What will I do?

I really won't be bored in the low threshold! I can get to know my friends through games, we have board games, creative kits for creation, computers or even x-box. You can connect to Wi-Fi and finish your tasks. We will help you prepare for school.

When you visit us, we can talk about what's bothering you, what you're dealing with, what's on your mind. We can talk alone or in a group, we do it the way it suits you. What we say is just between us, we won't run to our parents or to school.

If you need an expert, you've come to the right place. We work with a therapist or lawyer and can give you advice if you need it.

Are you solving your life problem? Everything can be solved! We can connect you with experts, we are in contact with OSPOD, we can call the school or invite parents, and if you want and need it yourself, take the first step...

Low threshold is free and cool, but we have our principles. Do not bring any dirty words, vulgarisms, drugs and cigarettes to us, it does not belong to us. If you commit crimes, we won't cover your back

    .

    So you don't have thresholds?

We have thresholds between doors, but we don't have thresholds in the mind, as a barrier. A low threshold means that we do not make distinctions, that we have open doors and eyes. A low threshold means help without distinction, accessible and anonymous.

    .

    Who works at NZDM?

Social workers with life and career experience who have not lost the ability to play and be partners of the target group. All these aspects are contained within the NZDM team. This combines workers with the ability and competence to follow the trends of the target group and run activities close to the target group and workers with longer consulting experience, ideally at the age of the target group's parents and grandparents. NZDM uses the services of other professionals such as psychologists, psychiatrists, special and social pedagogues and others.
